Slate Monolith SM62 is a beautiful large chunk of Welsh Slate standing at just under a metre high. This is a very clean stone with a distinctively shaped top, which could allow for a nice natural flow of water to cascade down the faces.

Large Stone Monoliths are becoming increasingly difficult to source, and Slate Monolith SM62 is an excellent example of a striking garden obelisk to be included in a medium or large scale garden design. This imposing tower of real Welsh Slate echoes the countries’ ancient forts such as Dolwyddelan Castle near Betws Y Coed. It is core drilled to allow for water flow fountain effect, achieved in conjunction with our Large Reservoir Pack that includes a reservoir, hose, clip & pump. Delivery is via trusted courier or by Ioan Raymond himself. Slate Monolith SM62 is made from 100% natural Welsh slate, sourced from a North Wales quarry and hand finished by Ioan Raymond in his Southampton Workshop. The subtle textures of real Welsh Slate are magnified on this stunning garden feature, every side covered in unique natural stone detailing. Many customers like to use monoliths with a number of our garden accessories, including slate stepping stones, 20mm chippings and LED Lighting (available in the basket when purchasing a monolith).
Installation
All our core drilled Stone Monoliths require additional products to complete the water feature functionality, namely a water reservoir, pump, hose and jubilee clips. Either integrate with an existing set up or ideally use our Large Reservoir Pack. Water is recycled through the reservoir and back to the top with the pump, so a constant water supply is not required. We recommend contracting a professional electrician to provide the outside mains power for the pump.
