More Info
Slate Monolith SM402 is a clean, elegant natural stone obelisk for use in a landscaping or Japanese style garden design project. Sourced direct from the quarry in North Wales near Blaenau Ffestiniog. This was the main area for slate quarrying back in the day. Measuring approximately 650mm high x 400mm wide x 225mm thick. The shape of this stone resembles a sail with its triangular form. Full of slate grey tones and a splash of fools gold which light up when the sun hits the slate. A very rare and unusual shape at this particular size. This could be highlighted with subtle lighting at night to make a real statement in your garden design. Measuring approximately 650mm high and weighing in around 85kg. Only one available and truly a one off. This slate monolith could be core drilled and converted into a working water feature, at extra cost. This would require a Large Reservoir Pack to fully operate as a water feature, pack contains reservoir, pump hose and clips. Please contact us with any questions. If you like Slate Monolith SM402 but require something larger then please view our Large Slate Monolith category. Combine with a couple more stones at varying heights to make a real focal point in your garden and ease the transition in size. Alternative use for slate monolith SM403 as a memorial stone or marker stone. See our gallery for ideas and inspiration. If you wish to visit the workshop then please do not hesitate to get in touch to book an appointment. We have another 30 odd stones in the yard which haven’t made it onto the website yet. Installation
All our core drilled Stone Monoliths require additional products to complete the water feature functionality, namely a water reservoir, pump, hose and jubilee clips. Either integrate with an existing set up or ideally use our Large Reservoir Pack. Water is recycled through the reservoir and back to the top with the pump, so a constant water supply is not required. We recommend contracting a professional electrician to provide the outside mains power for the pump.
