More Info

Slate Monolith SM216 standing stone was chosen at a quarry in North Wales, near Eryri and hand finished in our Southampton workshop. Measuring approximately 850mm tall, this Large slate monolith is ideal as a feature stone in a medium to large garden design, or as part of a group of stones in a larger landscaping project. This can easily be combined with similar size stones to create a small Zen like retreat in your garden. Browse our slate monoliths category for many more examples. Grouped in odd numbers at varying heights, these slate monoliths work so well together. Combine with other slate products such as slate chippings and slate stepping stones to create a simple Japanese style garden. This slate monolith SM216 standing stone is not suitable for drilling due to a pointy top. The core would not be able to make a suitable contact with the slate to be able to drill through. Please contact us with any questions you may have on slate monolith SM216 standing stone. If you require a similar height but drilled as a water feature then consider slate monolith SM330 water feature. Images are of the exact stone you will receive. Please see additional images in the gallery which highlight the markings and characteristics on this particular piece. We have over 100 monoliths in stock and they vary so much, we take time to photograph each piece individually so clients can choose themselves. An alternative to slate monolith SM216 standing stone is slate monolith SM404. You’re welcome to visit the workshop to see the stone before purchasing, but please do make an appointment as I’m often out on deliveries or visiting quarries restocking. See a recent blog called Chilworth Slate Monolith Case Study to see how combining slate monolith work so effectively in garden design.

Installation

All our core drilled Stone Monoliths require additional products to complete the water feature functionality, namely a water reservoir, pump, hose and jubilee clips. Either integrate with an existing set up or ideally use our Large Reservoir Pack. Water is recycled through the reservoir and back to the top with the pump, so a constant water supply is not required. We recommend contracting a professional electrician to provide the outside mains power for the pump.
