Slate Monolith SM261 Standing Stone

Slate Monolith SM261 is a weathered, mossy natural stone obelisk for use in a landscaping or memorial project. Sourced direct from the quarry in North Wales. This piece has natural riven faces, with one fairly straight face and the other off set on an angle.  The real highlight is the edge which is crammed full of moss and character. A rough shallow indent on one side which may have been made whilst in situ in the rock face as this was the traditional method of pounding at the slate to create a deep hole for insertion of explosives to blast away from the rock.
