We strongly suggest all customers rinse stones and check PH levels over 24 hours again before tank placement. Our aquarium monoliths are suitable for both freshwater and tropical tanks, although we advise all customers to follow a testing process before introducing new stones to their tanks. It is recommended to mix tank water with fresh water in a separate bucket or bowl and test the PH levels over 24 hours. If there is no significant change in PH it is usually safe to place to stones in the tank. Slate is widely known to be safe in fish tanks, but we recommend these extra steps for the safety of your tank environment.
